About Me

Welcome to Typhina Web Development

This is the website of Bill Dunnett, a Guildford based web developer

I am now semi retired and no longer doing full time work. Currently I am doing voluntary work on the Voluntary Action South West Surrey Community Point website.

Previous assignments have been with Allianz Insurance in Guildford, working in the enterprise environment with onshore and offshore developers to produce Quote and Buy Home, Car and Musical Insurance websites , and before that at Reed Business Information on their various websites associated with their publications, including Farmers Weekly, Computer Weekly and Roadtransport.com

Before going freelance, I was a permanent employee of the Financial Times from 2006 to 2009, as a member of the team developing and maintaining the main FT web site www.ft.com .

I’ve also done work for voluntary organisations and charities having created sites for Citizens Advice Bureaux and “Scots in London”.

For small businesses I can create websites using WordPress which can be updated by the client after delivery using it’s content management system.

In 2016 I created a responsive WordPress child theme for the Royal High School Club in London

Core skills hand coding HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ampscript, SASS, Responsive Design, Codekit, PrePros, XML, XSLT, ASP.Net. Knowledge of C++. Coming from a programming background, I became involved in website development while working as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Celona Technologies in 2002.
